FERC Chairman Jon Wellinghoff responded last week to the New York State Department of State’s (NYSDOS) request that FERC vacate its authorization of the Broadwater LNG import proposal. Specifically, Chairman Wellinghoff reiterated that the Commission “will not authorize construction of the Broadwater Project in New York State waters unless, after the appeals process has run its course, the denial of consistency [with New York’s Coastal Zone Management Plan] is overturned.” Find Chairman Wellinghoff’s letter under Docket CP06-54 in the FERC eLibrary.
