Platts LNG Daily reports that an analyst with Barclays Capital said last week that he believes the dispute over natural gas prices between Russia and Ukraine could encourage European imports of LNG, slowing the growth of U.S. LNG imports in 2009. Bill Cooper, president of the Center for LNG, disputed the hypothesis, stating that he does not think the dispute will have a great effect on the U.S. market in the short-term. [Subscription required]
