Analyst: U.S. LNG Exports Need $100/Barrel Oil to be Profitable

Tom Driscoll, an energy analyst with Barclay’s Capital, told Platts LNG Daily that he believes that in order for exports of U.S. LNG transported to and sold in Asia to be profitable, the global oil price would have to be at least $100 per barrel, noting that Japanese LNG prices are linked to the price of oil.
