An op-ed carried by today’s Washington Times authored by James A. Lyons, Jr., a retired U.S. Navy admiral, examines security issues raised by existing and proposed LNG projects. The piece argues that the Senate version of the Coast Guard Authorization Act 2008 should contain provisions requiring LNG terminal and tanker operators to undertake more responsibility for the safety and security of their facilities and LNG vessels.
