Op-Ed: Oregon Could Be at Disadvantage Without LNG Terminal

Gregg Kantor, president of Oregon utility NW Natural, argues in The Oregonian that Oregon could face a “severe competitive disadvantage” if the state does not build an LNG terminal. He notes that a new pipeline is transporting gas from the Rocky Mountains to the Midwest and Northeast United States, and that the East and Gulf Coasts will have up to nine LNG terminals operating by 2009.
