Excelerate Confirms Delivery Delay to Northeast Gateway LNG Deepwater Port

Citing “scheduling reasons,” Excelerate Energy confirmed earlier reports that the initial cargo for the Northeast Gateway LNG deepwater port has been delayed.  Excelerate’s Chief Operating Officer, Jonathan Cook, released a statement yesterday saying that the LNG carrier Excellence will transfer cargo destined for South America via a ship to ship transfer prior to delivering the commissioning of the Northeast Gateway LNG apparatus. Cook said that the Excellence would arrive at the Northeast Gateway LNG deepwater port sometime in May. Reuters carries the story.
