Incoming New York Governor Suggests He May Seek More Time to Decide on Broadwater LNG Proposal

New York’s Lt. Gov. David Paterson (D), who will be sworn in as Governor of New York on Monday, said at a press conference broadcast on various news outlets that he may seek more time to formulate a position on the proposed Broadwater LNG project. Current Gov. Eliot Spitzer (D) was recently granted a 60-day extension of the New York State Department of State’s deadline for making a decision on whether to support the project.
