Consulting Firm Predicts “Unimpressive” April for U.S. LNG Market

Waterborne Energy, a Houston-based consulting firm, released a report last week predicting that, due to strong demand in Japan and Spain, LNG imports to the United States would be 36 Bcf for the month of April. The firm also estimated that U.S. LNG imports would total approximately 512 Bcf for 2008, a 33% year-on-year decline from 2007, but indicated that the estimation was “very preliminary.” Reuters (carried via The Guardian) offers additional details.
