Platts LNG Daily [subscription required] reports that, as construction of Sempra Energy’s Energia Costa Azul LNG terminal remains behind schedule, a commissioning cargo waits idly in the Gulf of Oman. A Sempra spokesperson told Platts that the regasification facility is 96% complete but declined to comment on what remains to be finished before the facility can open. The company expects commercial operations to commence late in the second quarter.
