Report Issued by Environmental Group Critical of West Coast LNG Projects

The Ventura County Star reports that several environmental groups released a report entitled “Collision Course: How Imported Liquefied Natural Gas Will Undermine Clean Energy in California” which argues against LNG projects proposed for the U.S. West Coast. The report cites economic, environmental, and domestic supply issues as reasons for not investing in LNG infrastructure. However, an official with NorthernStar Natural Gas said that his company’s Clearwater Port LNG project will help California meet its growing energy needs.
