CFE: Three Bids Received for Manzanillo LNG Proposal

The Mexican Federal Commission of Electricity (CFE) announced yesterday that it has received three construction bids for the Manzanillo LNG terminal. The three bids were offered by Energia Occidente de Mexico (comprised of TransCanada, Techint, and Tractebel), Terminal KMS de GNL (comprised of Mitsui, Samsung, and KOGAS), and Controladora LNG Manzanillo (comprised of Iberdrola, ICA, Tokyo Gas, and Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries). Business News Americas (via Energy Current) reports that CFE plans to award the final contract on March 10.
