Rising Global Demand May Lead to Decreased U.S. Imports

Platts LNG Daily [subscription required] reports that despite new North American terminal capacity that is scheduled to come online this year, rising LNG demand in other areas of the world may lead to decreased U.S. imports. Executive vice president of Pace Global Energy, James Diemer, stated, “We may be put in a situation where we’re going to have to attract [LNG] (via price) rather than being the summer sponge.”
