Study Commissioned by Weaver’s Cove LNG Finds Region Needs New Natural Gas Supplies

Global Insight Inc., an economics research firm, released a study yesterday finding that 50% of all LNG imports to the United States will enter via the U.S. East coast by 2017. According to the Boston Business Journal, the study, which was sponsored by supporters of Weaver’s Cove LNG, also found that the Fall River, Mass., LNG proposal would supply approximately 35% of the average daily gas demand of New England in the winter heating season.
