At the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) meeting in Anaheim, Calif., several industry insiders spoke of the obstacles, notably the willingness of overseas LNG buyers to enter into long-term, take-or-pay supply contracts, that may prevent LNG from completely filling the supply gap in the U.S. gas market.
