Platts LNG Daily reports that Matthew Schatzman, president of BG Energy Merchants and BG LNG Trading, said that global trends and rising LNG imports could converge to make the United States a major “swing player” in the globalized gas market. Schatzman, speaking to a conference in Houston said the United States will “literally connect the world market because of its balancing capacity.” [Subscription required]
