Controversial LNG Provision Removed from Coast Guard Bill

Language requiring a comprehensive homeland security impact assessment proposed for H.R. 2830, the U.S. Coast Guard reauthorization bill, has been removed amid negotiations between several House committees. Platts LNG Daily reports that the language, proposed by Rep. Edward Markey (D-Mass.), will potentially be replaced with an amendment co-sponsored by Rep. Markey, Rep. John Dingell (D-Mich.), and Rep.
