Sempra Energy Contemplating Liquefaction Projects

Sempra LNG CEO Darcel Hulse told the Associated Press (carried via the Houston Chronicle) that the company would consider upstream liquefaction projects if it can find the right partner. Hulse said, “We’re not an upstream producer, but we’re not opposed to developing the necessary infrastructure.” Hulse also noted that the company’s Port Arthur LNG project has been delayed due to a lack of global liquefaction capacity.
