Oregon County Professional Staff Reiterates Opposition to Bradwood Landing LNG Project

The Daily Astorian reports that the Clatsop County staff released a supplemental report reiterating its opposition to the Bradwood Landing LNG import terminal. In particular, the supplemental report notes that despite the project’s apparent inconsistency with local land use laws, the county Planning Commission decided to recommend conditional approval of the project. The supplemental report goes on to list seven requests of project developer NorthernStar Natural Gas that should be denied.

Separately, the Longview Daily News (Wash.) reports that one group of local residents, Landowners and Citizens for a Safe Community, welcomed the supplemental report, though a spokesperson for Bradwood Landing LNG said that the supplemental report did not alter their position.
