U.S. Regasification Capacity to Double by Mid-2009

Reuters reports that U.S. regasification capacity will more than double once several Gulf of Mexico terminals that are under construction are completed. The terminals, including Freeport LNG, Cheniere Energy’s Sabine Pass LNG terminal, Sempra Energy’s Cameron LNG, and Exxon Mobil’s Golden Pass LNG, are scheduled to begin operations by mid-2009.
