NATS: July LNG Imports to United States Third-Highest Monthly Total of 2007

NATS reports that U.S. LNG imports for the first seven months of 2007 totaled 524.3 Bcf, compared with 354.1 Bcf during the same period last year. The United States imported 86.6 Bcf of LNG in July, making it the third highest month of 2007 for U.S. LNG imports behind May and April, respectively. NATS cites increases at the Trunkline LNG terminal in Lake Charles, La., the Cove Point LNG terminal, and the Elba Island LNG terminal as the major contributors to this high volume.
