Fishermen’s Association: Downeast LNG Terminal Would Bring Challenges for Fishermen

Testifying before the Maine Board of Environmental Protection last Thursday, a representative of the Fundy North Fishermen’s Association said that if the Downeast LNG proposal is approved, Passamaquoddy Bay fishermen could be negatively impacted by the associated marine operations. She cited as an example the Canaport LNG terminal in St. John, New Brunswick, which currently is under construction. Read more in the Telegraph-Journal (New Brunswick).
