Local Communities to Raise Bradwood Landing Pipeline Concerns at FERC

The Daily News (Longview, Wash.) reports that officials from the City of Clatskanie, Wash., Columbia County, Ore., and the Port of St. Helens are drafting comments to send to FERC in opposition to NorthernStar Natural Gas’ planned gas pipeline from the proposed Bradwood Landing LNG terminal to an existing pipeline by traversing the Port of Westwood. Clatskanie Mayor Diane Pohl claims that NorthernStar has failed to take into account existing underground utilities, roads, and future development. A NorthernStar official responded, “Bradwood Landing is sensitive to the concerns raised by Mayor Pohl,” and “will continue to work with the Port of St. Helens to ensure that there will be no significant impacts from the proposed pipeline.”
