Canadian Firms to Fill U.S. LNG Regasification Gap

The Edmonton Journal (via LexisNexis, subscription required) reports that Canadian firms are seeking to fill the gap in U.S. supply and demand for LNG regasification capacity by importing LNG to Canada for export as natural gas to the United States. The article also describes the extensive public consultation process executed by Petro-Canada and TransCanada Corp. in their successful bid for regulatory approval of the Gros Cacouna LNG terminal.
