U.S. EIA Reports Strong Import Market

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) Short-Term Energy Outlook, LNG imports to the United States during the first quarter of 2007 are estimated to reach 180 Bcf, a 60 percent increase over last year’s first quarter. The EIA accordingly revised its earlier prediction for total U.S. LNG imports for 2007 from 770 Bcf to 790 Bcf. Lloyd’s List offers further information. [Subscription required]
