Legislation to Give States Final Decision on LNG Terminal Sites Enters House

Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger (D-MD) has proposed the House version (H.R. 2042) of a bill introduced by Senators Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) and Benjamin Cardin (D-MD) that would amend the Natural Gas Act so that LNG terminal applications would require state approval. Congressmen Elijah Cummings (D-MD) and John Sarbanes (D-MD) are co-sponsoring this legislation. WBAL offers additional details.
