U.S. Rep. Questions Availability of USCG Resources for Proposed Broadwater Terminal

In a letter to the chairman of the House Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation, U.S. Rep. Tim Bishop (D-N.Y.) has requested a hearing to investigate the USCG’s ability to adequately safeguard Broadwater Energy’s proposed LNG terminal in Long Island Sound. “There are many unanswered questions about what impact Broadwater and similar projects will have on the Coast Guard’s limited resources,” Bishop said in his press release. Newsday provides further coverage.
