Residents Raise Safety Concerns Regarding Proposed Rabaska Terminal

The Globe and Mail reports on local residents who are concerned that the proposed Rabaska LNG terminal in Levis, Quebec, may endanger public safety. However, Rabaska president Glenn Kelley asserts that there are “a lot of unfounded myths” about the LNG industry, adding “[t]here has never been an incident or accident having any implication outside the terminal at any of the 51 terminals in the world.” The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency resumed public hearings on the terminal on Jan. 29; its report is due April 4.
