Massachusetts DEP Approves Proposed Pipelines Tied to Weaver’s Cove Terminal

The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection last week overruled decisions by two local conservation commissions that would have denied Hess LNG authorization to construct two pipelines in conjunction with the FERC-approved Weaver’s Cove LNG terminal in Fall River, Mass. Responding to the decision, Fall River Mayor Edward M. Lambert Jr. said, “We have much stronger arguments against the terminal itself, but we have not closed the door on appealing the [pipeline] issue.” Read more in The Herald News.
