FERC Authorizes Mississippi LNG Terminals

FERC yesterday approved Chevron’s proposed Casotte Landing LNG terminal and Gulf LNG Energy’s proposed Clean Energy LNG Project, both of which are planned for Pascagoula, Miss. Once constructed, the terminals could import a peak volume of approximately 1.6 and 1.5 Bcf/d, respectively. FERC’s press release is here. Statements issued by FERC Commissioners Joseph Kelliher, Suedeen Kelly, and Marc Spitzer may be found in the FERC e-Library in the Casotte Landing and Gulf LNG Dockets, Nos.
