EPA to Hold Hearing on Permit Related to Northeast Gateway LNG Proposal

The Environmental Protection Agency has scheduled a public hearing in Beverly, Mass., to hear comments regarding Excelerate Energy’s request for permission to make a one-time discharge into the ocean of two million gallons of chemically-treated seawater after the water has been used to test a pipeline that will be constructed to link Excelerate’s proposed Northeast Gateway LNG terminal to the pipeline grid.  The Gloucester Daily Times provides additional details on the March 29 hearing.
