Proposed Mississippi LNG Terminals Make Headway

The Sun Herald reports on the status of two LNG terminals proposed near Pascagoula, Miss. Port of Pascagoula commissioners and the Jackson County Board of Supervisors are expected to vote today on Gulf LNG Energy’s intention to exercise its option to lease 100 acres from the port to build its terminal. The company’s option was granted in 2003 without opposition from the commissioners or the board. Also, Chevron expects to complete the state and federal review process for its Casotte Landing LNG terminal “within the next few months,” according to project manager Richard Lammons.
