The president of Yellow Wood Associates, Shanna Ratner, whose organization produced a study examining the potential impacts of new LNG terminals near Passamaquoddy Bay, responded to Quoddy Bay LNG project manager Brian Smith’s recent op-ed criticizing the study. Claiming Smith mischaracterized the study, Ratner asserts that Smith’s predictions concerning local employment tied to the project are “unrealistic and misleading” because local and state contractors lack substantial experience in the LNG industry.
