LNG Commission Report May Support AES’ Battery Rock Proposal

The Associated Press has obtained a copy of the Massachusetts LNG Commission report, which will be released officially on Friday. According to the AP, the reportsays, “the region needs to act now to assure adequate gas supplies in the future,” and that LNG terminals should be sited in remote locations. In an apparent reference to AES’ Battery Rock terminal proposed for Outer Brewster Island, the report also says the state legislature should “continue to explore … the use of such state-owned property for potential future LNG import and storage sites.” Further details are available in the AP article carried via The Boston Globe.
