Fall River Criticizes SFEIR for Weaver’s Cove Terminal

Today’s Herald News reports that Stephen R. Pritchard, secretary for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Environmental Affairs, may decide on Friday whether to approve the Hess LNG Supplemental Final Environmental Report for its Weaver’s Cove LNG terminal. Fall River city officials have filed a response to the report, recommending that Pritchard and his staff reject the SFEIR or, in the alternative, accept the SFEIR, but mandate that Hess LNG commit to fulfilling the prescribed mitigation measures.
