The Warrenton City Commission agreed on Tuesday to send FERC a letter requesting funding and equipment to address safety and security concerns raised by NorthernStar Natural Gas’ Bradwood Landing LNG proposal. Draft copies of the letter were also sent to neighboring jurisdictions potentially affected by the transportation of LNG to the terminal. According to The Daily Astorian , after the draft letter was sent out, city manager Ed Madere spoke with NorthernStar’s vice president for development, who promised to include Madere and Warrenton’s police and fire chiefs in emergency response planning meetings to be held this summer.
