Pemex May Acquire Ownership in Manzanillo Terminal

Mexico’s Energy Secretary Fernando Canales tells World Gas Intelligence that Pemex, Mexico’s state-owned oil company, may acquire a 30% stake in the Manzanillo LNG terminal proposed for Mexico’s western coast.  Pemex may join the terminal developer, state utility CFE, in ownership of the terminal in an effort to boost LNG suppliers’ confidence in the project, according to a Mexican energy regulatory official.  The details are in the May 24 issue of World Gas Intelligence.  [Subscription required]
