Connecticut Community Leaders Want New Energy Plan That Addresses Broadwater LNG Proposal

The South Central Regional Council of Governments, which is comprised of local leaders of 15 communities in Connecticut, agreed on Wednesday to send a letter to Gov. Jodi Rell asking her to establish a panel that would create an energy plan that would address the state’s energy needs for the next 30 years. According to today’s Hartford Courant, Connecticut has an existing energy plan, but it does not tackle certain projects proposed for the state such as Broadwater Energy’s proposed LNG regasification facility and Islander East’s natural gas pipeline.
