U.S. Benefits From Shift in Global LNG Spot Market

A recent shift in the international LNG spot market has directed increased flows toward the United States as European and Asian imports decrease due to warmer temperatures in Europe and price caps in Asia. According to today’s World Gas Intelligence, the four major U.S. import facilities saw an increase in LNG cargoes this spring, with Dominion’s Cove Point LNG terminal importing the most at 395 MMcf/d so far this month.
