Residents Agree to Contribute Funds in Battle Against Weaver’s Cove Proposal

The residents of Somerset, Mass. who attended last night’s town meeting unanimously voted to earmark $25,000 to help pay for legal costs in the fight against the Weaver’s Cove LNG project. The vote countered a recommendation made by the town’s Finance and Advisory Committee. Today’s Herald News reports that the funds will be drawn from the town’s surplus account or state and federal grants.
