Sen. Lieberman Vocalizes Opposition Against Broadwater LNG Plan

The Hartford Courant today reports that Sen. Joseph Lieberman (D-Conn.) opposes the Broadwater LNG proposal. “Approval of the [Broadwater] facility would remove forever a portion of the Sound from the public trust for commercial use and its operations would impact the commercial and recreational uses already provided by the Sound,” Lieberman said at a news conference. “I simply cannot support this project.” [Access to archived articles requires a fee.]
