Quoddy Bay Capacity in the News

The Bangor Daily News today reports on Quoddy Bay’s proposed LNG terminal at Split Rock. The terminal facilities could process 4 Bcf/d, although the amount Quoddy Bay can deliver to the Maritimes & Northeast pipeline will be physically and legally limited to 2 Bcf/d. The project will include two regas systems, one of which will operate while the other waits in reserve; in addition to redundancy, this system allows for regas at the dock, bypassing the 10 Bcf storage facility if necessary. Quoddy Bay spokesman Cary Weston also says that the company is looking into long-term fixed-price supply contracts. [Access to archived articles requires a fee.]
