FERC Approves Capacity Increase At Trunkline LNG’s Lake Charles Terminal

Yesterday, FERC authorized Trunkline LNG to increase its peak day vaporization capacity at its Lake Charles LNG terminal from 1.3 Bcf/day to 1.5 Bcf/day to make use of available capacity gained from the recent completion of an expansion project. The increase was requested by BG LNG, which holds all of the capacity at Lake Charles, to “facilitate the efficient and economical scheduling of ships and LNG sendout,” and is expected to accommodate scheduling deliveries currently planned to arrive during the first and second quarters of 2006. FERC’s letter order is available in the FERC-eLibrary in Docket No. CP02-60-007.
