KeySpan May File Amended Application for LNG Terminal
The Block Island Times reports that KeySpan might submit another application to expand its LNG terminal in Providence after FERC commissioner Suedeen G. Kelly said on Jan. 19 “there is a need for more natural gas in New England.” David J. Manning, executive vice president at KeySpan, expressed confidence in a potential new application. “We are encouraged by the opportunity to file an amended application,” Manning said. “We still feel strongly that our proposal will provide much needed new energy, without significant environmental impacts or increased safety risk.”
