Former Fall River mayoral candidate F. George Jacome says the city should stop the Weaver’s Cove project by seizing the proposed site using eminent domain. “Permits cannot be issued to a project that does not have a piece of land to build it on or a guarantee to build it on,” he said. According to Jacome, “Worst-case scenario, it would stop the project probably for years in court,” causing Hess LNG to abandon the project. Today’s Herald News has the story.
