Tribe Files Lawsuit Over Pleasant Point LNG Lease

Six Passamaquoddy Tribe members yesterday said they will file a lawsuit against the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the U.S. Secretary of the Interior over the approval of a lease that permits Quoddy Bay LLC to erect an LNG terminal at Pleasant Point. They are also part of Save Passamoquoddy Bay, an organization dedicated to the fight against LNG development in the region. Yesterday’s Bangor Daily News has the details.
