Alaska Gasline Port Authority Proposes Pipeline and LNG Export Project

Upstreamonline.com [subscription required] reports that the Alaska Gasline Port Authority, a consortium of three local governments, has proposed a gas transport project that will be comprised of a pipeline transporting gas from production fields in northern Alaska to Valdez and a liquefaction plant that will chill and load LNG onto vessels bound for the Lower 48 states. The proposal is one of multiple bids being submitted for construction under the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act.
