TC Offshore LLC has filed an application with FERC to abandon, by sale to Avocet LNG, LLC (Avocet), its Grand Chenier System located offshore and onshore Louisiana for use by Avocet as part of a proposed Deepwater Port LNG export project. According to the application, Avocet’s proposed project would involve a mooring system to be built in federal waters near the terminus points of the Grand Chenier System and floating liquefaction natural gas vessels (FLNGVs) located at the moorings. The Financial Post reports that the proposed small-scale Douglas Channel LNG liquefaction plant and export terminal in British Columbia has been postponed due to the inability of its sponsors “to secure meaningful off-take agreements for the project” and “due to adverse economic conditions and worsening global energy price levels.” The sponsors of the project are AltaGas, Idemitsu Canada Corp., EDF Trading Ltd. and Exmar NV. ...

Sempra Energy announced that its Sempra LNG & Midstream unit has entered into a Project Development Agreement with a subsidiary of Woodside Petroleum Ltd. (Woodside) to advance the development of the proposed Port Arthur LNG liquefaction facility and export terminal in Port Arthur, Texas. Today, Cheniere Energy Partners, L.P. announced that the first commissioning cargo with LNG produced from liquefaction Train 1 of its Sabine Pass liquefaction project in Cameron Parish, La. “will depart imminently.” According to the press release, the LNG will be shipped on the LNG carrier Asia Vision, chartered by Cheniere Marketing, LLC and will be heading to Brazil. Corpus Christi Liquefaction (CCL) has filed its monthly report with FERC covering construction activities at its LNG export terminal near Corpus Christi, Texas through January 2016. The report states that engineering has progressed to 95.0%, procurement has progressed to 44.2% and construction has progressed to 2.9%. The total project has progressed to 30.7% complete. ...

Dominion Cove Point LNG has filed its monthly status report with FERC on the progress of construction at its LNG export terminal in Lusby, Md. through reporting period January 2016. The report states that engineering is 97% complete, procurement is 89% complete, and construction is 24% complete.
