Cameron LNG Train 1 Start Likely Delayed Until 2019

The San Diego Tribune reports that LNG production from Train 1 of Sempra Energy’s Cameron LNG export terminal under construction in Cameron Parish, La. is likely to be pushed back to 2019, with Trains 2 and 3 following in close order.  No explanation was given for the delay.  Train 1 was scheduled to go online in 2018.  ...

Dominion Cove Point LNG Export Terminal Expected In-Service 4th Quarter 2017

In a July 2017 update, Dominion Energy Cove Point (DECP) states that its liquefaction and LNG export terminal project at Lusby, Md. “is 92% complete and is on track for an in-service date in the fourth quarter [of] 2017.” DECP states that “[a]ll of the major equipment has been set in place and now the focus is on commissioning activities.”...

Petronas Cancels B.C. LNG Terminal Project

Malaysian state oil and gas company Petronas released a statement that it and its partners “have decided not to proceed with the Pacific NorthWest LNG project at Port Edward in British Columbia [B.C.], Canada.”   According to the statement, the decision “was made after a careful and total review of the project amid changes in market conditions.”  Read more in the Reuters article....
