The Olympian reports that utility officials told the state Utilities Commission in Olympia, Wash., that natural gas supply was good heading into the winter, but that LNG will be needed in the future. The executive director of the Northwest Gas Association, Dan Kirshner, predicts the region will likely need to receive LNG imports in the future to meet rising demand between now and 2012.
