The New York Times yesterday featured coverage on the growing opposition to the Broadwater LNG proposal. The article focused particularly on the local environmentalists’ claims that the proposed Broadwater LNG terminal is unnecessary. Michael Rieke, the managing editor of Platts LNG Daily, said that claims regarding the necessity of the Broadwater LNG terminal would not substantially impact FERC’s decision on the project. “They are leaving it up to the market to decide,” he said.
